New parts are not the same as 'New Surplus' parts. While New Surplus parts have never been used and are still in the factory box, they have been likely sitting on someone's shelf for many years. Check the date code on these parts to see how old they are. Over that time capacitors can leak, batteries fail, and chances are good they are not the latest firmware revision. New parts from Qualitrol are truly New parts from GE.
