The Allen-Bradley 1746-NR4 Resistance RTD Analog Input Module interfaces with platinum, nickel, copper and nickel-iron RTDs, and with variable resistance devices such as potentiometers (0 to 3,000Ω maximum). The The module provides on-board RTD temperature scaling in degrees Celsius and degrees Fahrenheit or resistance scaling in ohms. The 0.5mA RTD excitation current cannot be used for a 10Ω Copper RTD. It is recommended for use with higher resistance ranges for both RTDs and direct response inputs (1,000Ω RTDs and 3,000Ω resistance ranges).
