The Remanufactured GE-Emerson IC698CRE040 Rx7i 1.8 GHZ CPU is designed and programmed to execute real-time control over machinery, processes, and material handling systems. Communication for I/O and smart option modules takes place through a rack-mounted backplane using the VME64 Standard format. An integrated Ethernet port (or serial port) enables communication between the CPU and the programmer as well as HMI devices.

The CPU is furnished with an 1800MHz Pentium-M microprocessor, along with 64 MB of user memory backed by a battery, and an additional 64 MB of non-volatile user flash memory for different user data needs. Additionally, it incorporates hot standby (HSB) redundancy.

The IC698CRE040 is compatible with both discrete and analog I/O for the Series 90-70, along with supporting modules for communication and other functions, including VME.
