The GE-Emerson IC660EBD101 Genius Electronic Assembly is engineered to establish a connection between discrete actuators and sensors within a system and a communication bus. It comprises 8 matching circuits, all rated at 115 Volts AC, with the flexibility for each circuit to function as either an output or an input.

The control power for this block is derived from the I/O device voltages connected to the terminal, eliminating the need for a separate power source. Each circuit is equipped with electronic fusing, designed to shut down the circuit within 5 microseconds if the output current exceeds 30 Amps when the output is in the on state. The circuit can be easily restored by a command from the CPU or a hand-held monitor. 

The IC660EBD101 I/O block is fully compatible with the GE Fanuc HMM501 hand-held monitor.
