The GE-Emerson IC698PSD300 Rx7i 300 Watt Power Supply Module provides sequential logic-level signals to the RX7i backplane modules for sequencing purposes. It also furnishes safeguards against overvoltage faults, overcurrent situations, and overtemperature conditions.

Cool air circulation is achieved through a tray fan, which effectively directs air into the power supply unit's mechanism. Positioned at the rack's base, this fan ensures efficient cooling. Additionally, the IC698PSD300 incorporates an airflow sensor that identifies instances of fan malfunction or air obstruction. In the event of detecting any disruption in airflow, the power supply promptly takes action by deactivating all outputs and activating the over temperature LED indicator (RED). Once the internal temperature returns to operational levels, the power supply autonomously restores normal functioning.
