It is compatible for installation in a number of 1771 chassis including -A1B to -A4B, or later universal I/O chassis, and can be installed in the 1771-AM1 and AM2 chassis. The module is primarily designed to interface discrete devices, including pushbuttons, various switches, auxiliary relay contacts, contactors, and more.
