Description

The Allen-Bradley 1756-IB16I ControlLogix Discrete DC Input Module is designed to interface discrete devices such as pushbuttons, switches, auxiliary contacts, and other binary or ON-OFF signal state devices. The module is single-slot, and installs to any ControlLogix chassis. It may be slotted anywhere except in the left most slot, which is dedicated to the processor or communications adapter. The module can be used in local I/O configuration, or as remote or distributed I/O architecture.

This module requires use of a Removable Terminal Block (RTB). RTBs serve as the module's termination points, which can be disconnected and reconnected to any module that supports the same RTB. This way, existing connections are not required to be removed.
