The Allen-Bradley 1746-A4 SLC 500 4-Slot Expansion Rack includes mounting tabs and houses SLC 500 modules, and belongs to the SLC 500 A Modular Chassis series. The rack requires its own power supply, screw-mounted on the left hand panel. The right and center panel do not require screw-mounting. The rack may be configured as a single unit or with multiple chassis. The connector plug should be kept on the left side when the rack is used as a single unit. Using the chassis interconnect cable, up to three chassis can be joined together, creating a maximum of 30 I/O slots.
