The GE-Emerson IC660TBD024 Genius Terminal Block is found between the IC660EBD024 Electronics Assembly and the IC660BBD024 I/O Block in the Genius I/O system and is commonly referred to as the generic wiring base of the I/O module. The primary purpose of the terminal block is to provide power to field output devices. It is designed to work with 5 Volts of power and is TTL compatible. Additionally, it offers compatibility for interfacing with both 2-wire and 3-wire proximity switches. 

The IC660TBD024 terminal block has a maximum output current of 0.5 Amps per circuit under steady-state conditions. For inrush currents lasting from 4 to 10 milliseconds, the terminal assembly can handle a block output current of 16 Amps. Incorporated within it is an EEPROM unit responsible for storing configuration data, which includes the device number, reference address, baud rate, and details pertaining to the BSM controller.
